CCW signs for California Business and Places of Worship
AS OF JAN 6, WE UNDERSTAND THE INJUNCTION OF THE SB2 SIGNAGE REQUIREMENT TO BE BACK IN PLACE
You are no longer required to post signage to allow CCW on your property.
If you are a church, synagogue, mosque, other place of worship, or privately owned commercial establishment open to the public in California – we still have signage available for you to purchase if you want to post. Please know it is likely no longer required by CA law.
More about the Signage
We have all signage here in stock and ready to ship.
We will now continue to offer our ‘old style’ and the new style sign- If you have another style you are looking for, let us know.
Currently, these signs prescribe to the “design as prescribed by the Department of Justice” as stated in sections (22) and (26) of SB2. From our reading of SB2, this fits the requirements in their current “Draft or Proposed” form.
This 11×7 sign does fit the 4×6 inch minimum size for the larger signs as well as the prescibed wording, size, and color. These may be placed “conspicuously … at the entrance of the building or on the premises” This “or on the premises” implies that the sign can be placed conspicuously further inside.
The SMALL signs are to be used in conjunction with placing the larger sign inside conspicuously. This small sign lets ccw licenseholders and carriers know that the signage is on the property, but also keeps a more subtle signage impression at your front door.
The signage is on window rated vinyl UV coated stickers that are designed to endure months of outdoor use and should be removable without too much trouble. We can not guarantee clean removal as surfaces vary.
We are offering again our original signage that is 5″x7″ or
We can ship either USPS Priority or USPS Media Mail.
Notes and Updates:
PLEASE NOTE: AS OF JAN 6 – SATURDAY EVENING, THE INJUNCTION HAS BEEN RESTORED. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITHOUT SIGNAGE BEING REQUIRED ANY MORE
We are not providing any legal advice or guarantees. Please check your local and state laws and regulations as well as with your own legal council to verify compliance. Please also verify that your business or place of worship does not also still fall into a ‘prohibited place’ based on SB2.
